So I went to see a travel agent

The result?
One catalogue and her card; "Call me anytime."
Whether or not my five minute meeting was productive or not only time will tell.

Her suggestion was to take a guided tour from Istanbul to Kathmandu, which sounded like a good idea, but I may end up in the dreaded "travelling with travellers"-bubble, which I would like to avoid.
I'd like to meet the locals, not the foreigners.
I'll probably steal their itinerary and follow in their footsteps. Only problem is, they aren't going through Pakistan, but north through all the other "-stans".

Anyway, getting to Instanbul from Copenhagen shouldn't be to much hassle. And getting from Delhi to Bangkok and on to Beijing shouldn't either. On paper anyway. Which is exactly like in real life, as we all know.

And so it begins

Step one: Create a blog. Complete.

Step two: Do all the other necessary preparations.
Yeah, I'm going to need some help with this one.

Currently, the idea is simple:
I want to travel from Copenhagen through eastern Europe to Turkey; across Turkey to Iran, Pakistan and India; from India to Thailand and then north to China; from there on to Japan and somehow across the ocean to USA; then from coast to coast and across another ocean back to Europe.
Piece of cake, right?
